Scorsese and DiCaprio cheapen what should be a powerful story with cheesy cuts and acting. Additionally, the scoring is absolutely mismatched in almost every scene. Scenes that should be sobering are dealt with directing and acting that is almost humorous which is disrespectful to the actual story. As an Oklahoman with a Cherokee heritage, I feel embarrassed for our Osage people. I’ve long been a fan of Scorsese and De Niro but not anymore. Do yourself a favor and AVOID THIS FILM AND READ THE BOOK INSTEAD!
