My family was so poor that we couldn't afford the Wii U when it came out, so I wasn't able to experience LEGO City Undercover until I got my Switch Lite, but I was able to play The Chase Begins and I do think It's a solid game, Unlike Undercover, the game isn't as reliant on super builds and it's actually impossible to fail a mission. That being said, because of the short render distance it means you're most likely to crash into cars while driving and because of the limitations of the 3DS you're going to have to go through a loading screen every time you enter a district of the City. I should also mention the Police Whistle has been turned into a red brick extra which I really didn't appreciate, all in all this game probably would have worked better if it was a Wii U title but I think it's decent for a 3DS game and a worthy prequel. if you want a more valuable experience play this game and immediately afterwards play the original.
