It's better than I expected. I'd have to give it some more thought, but I'm pretty sure Wonka has a completely different personality than the original. Aside from that, it was a pleasant experience compared to most new movies. Gen X here, and at one point, in a full Imax, I started laughing even harder when I realized I was the only one laughing at a fat joke. "Car must of shrunk."
