Far from interstellar, but +-same mood. I think there are two main plots: 1) The crazy father that failed to find its place on Earth 2) Futurologistic world of plants travel. I find this very entertaining, well made and interesting Many funny moments like when the main character took a piece of spacecraft shielding in order to pass Neptun belts. However, no sounds of explosions in space!!! Finally! If you liked interstellar, this would be an OK movie to watch.
