I haven’t much seen much of South Indian movies in theatres but this is by far THE BEST. Kanatara is strong story of fight and struggle of a village (and villagers) to save their land. Everything about this movie is amazing. The storyline, the acting, the visuals, everything is outstanding, especially the background score and cinematography. Last 20-25 mins of the movie will blow your mind away. There were some moments which will leave you emotional and give goosebumps simultaneously. Wouldn’t mind watching the movie again.

A wonderful IMAX experience… We’ve always cribbed that Indian cinema doesn’t try anything new, but this is a genuine attempt to try something new & that too in a very large scale. The idea behind the movie, the cast, the action scenes, background score & vfx is wonderful. This movie may not be perfect but one of the best indeed. There are a few scenes which doesn’t seem to be imp & could be chopped. Will definitely wait for Part 2: Dev.

The movie was okay! Can be watched just ones. Deepika is a great actor and there’s no second opinion to it. But the movie falls flat trying to dive into the shallow waters instead of taking a deep dive, as one would expect by the name. Shakun Batra’s Kapoor and Sons is one of my all time favourite movies but sadly not this one, though complex relationships are at the centre of both the movies.
