It was pretty revolting, to be honest. The costumes, sets and acting were excellent, but the story itself and the way it was told was awful. It was like they had no idea what sort of storytelling to use so they mixed up all kinds. It was partly soft porn, partly humour or attempts at it, partly fantasy, partly sneering realism, partly anachronistic nonsense, and none of it following through as a thread of consistency.
