You can’t go in to this series thinking you are going to see the person you think Selena is (from Jennifer Lopez playing her) and you can’t think that you will see the real Selena exactly as she was. What is important is we get a better look at her entire story. Selena is my #1 and I will always feel protective over her legacy as I’ve watched countless hours of real footage of her and have learned more and more over the years. I wasn’t expecting to see the Selena I loved more and more over the years but what I was expecting was to see a portrayal of her and a better whole picture story than the movie told. The movie is amazing but it wasn’t the best bipoic considering it missed so many of the years of when Selena was still becoming the superstar we know no always wanted more. I wanted the interviews the music videos the award shows. Everything I watched I wished to see in the movie. But now we finally get to see all of that. Is there someone out there that looks more like Selena? Absolutely. Is that person also a good actress? Who knows. I love this series for simply telling her story. And Christian Serratos does her best to portray the legend Selena. Nobody can ever be Selena or we would have seen her by now.
