Sheba Lathoria

So far its pretty bad, the show revolves around the constant use of intertextuality to force a feeling of nostalgia. Everything is revisited and retextured from the first series and it lacks originality. Much of the story is knowing the Fans of Inyuyasha are wanting to see a continuation and learn what happened to the old characters and how life has carried on. Instead apparently no one knows anything about anyone and that's the carrot on the stick pulling old fans through the series. Every episode things we are familiar with from the original series will be thrown out at us to catch our attention even though they serve no purpose to the story, character development/relationship or lore/cannon. Ex: Kikyo's appearance, a time traveling method, a new bone eaters well demon that's after the new jewel, Izayoi's lipstick, Myoga's appearance and several more. This series doesn't seem to carry the same amount of depth and effort that the original series has and should be looked at as more of a separate series much like the boruto series, instead of a continuation.
