Did the director read Ray Bradburys novel, Or did he read the blurb and tried make a movie out of the few words he read? They cut out a crucial main character and killed off the wrong characters with the movie being 5% on track with the novel itself. I highly recommend watching the 1966 version directed by François Truffaut.
