Sir Patrick Stewart seems too old, weak and frail. Even his voice no longer seems to hold that vigor and strength that made him so worthy of leading us through the next chapter of the Star Trek experience. This series is told in the long, continual, never ending storyline format which so many TV shows have now followed for so long, I just can't get hooked into being a slave to anymore. I really miss the intriguing stories, and "adventures" that made the first two series so much inviting to watch. Some will love this, especially later, for when they want to binge watch the series, but for a weekly following, I just don't really care enough. It also seems to be much more "adult" in nature than the family outing we may have been used to with the Star Trek family of offerings. I frankly found Episode 5 the most disturbing and really more detail (TMI) than I really needed in the whole "I'm taking a previous Borg/human apart" scene. Hard to recommend this one. Also, I'm not sure the continual TNG guest star route (and they will all be here at some point) will be enough to save this disappointing serving in the Star Trek franchise. I'll be closing the book on this series.
