In my opinion, the critical flaws are the fact that there’s no map editor added to this game, it negates the player from having creative freedom to make maps with custom missions like outposts, assault, or even extraction missions. The most critical issue with the game are the main characters like the lack of character development with Diego and Anton. There would’ve been missions where Diego is secretly working for Dani by sabotaging particular enemy bases so Dani can have an advantage of infiltrating bases. It would have been a good character development to have Diego stabbing his father in the back for the liberation of Yara, but in secret. And Anton was an amazing villain, if the ending didn’t have Anton killing Diego and then doing away his life anticlimactically. It would’ve been better if you had the option to fight or kill Anton yourself. The only thing that made the game salvageable are the chicken fights, the addition with tanks and the graphics and visuals are phenomenal. Although I’ve seen glitches like after killing an enemy, it’s corpse was endlessly spinning around my character Tposed style, but it’s just a mundane glitch considering there wasn’t a lot. Now here’s the little issues with gameplay, I wish there were humans for the guns for hire amigos, rather than all the amigos being animals. Having a human amigo means they can hop on a vehicle with a mount gun and distract the strongest enemies that way. Speaking of which, the turrets are useless for strong weapons, there are time when you have a mount gun practically useless against even a weak enemy in terms of accuracy and damage infliction. The LMG turrets in the previous games were good against an onslaught of enemies, even against helicopters in the previous 3 games before 6. But now the LMG turrets are a lot less threatening to an enemy and seems more excessive. Even mortars have become worthless, far cry 4 mortars were awesome an OP cuz they were a scatter bomb mortars with unlimited bomb shells, But now, most of the turrets have limited ammunition. Now for animals. It feels like depending on what area of the map you are, there are a lack of wild animal attacks you encounter, especially that the most animals that attack are just crocs, coyotes, birds, rarely jaguars, and enemy dogs. In the previous games there where more variety of animals that attacks the players making the atmosphere of the game suspenseful, not only having enemy soldiers kill you, but nature itself. But because it’s in a Cuban based environment I don’t expect much species of dangerous animals besides the large American crocs, there’s hardly a threatening animals like in previous games rhino, bear, tiger, or bison to attack you in the wild most of the time. So because that hostile animals rarely spawn depending on parts of the regions your at, it’s made up with lots of enemies around every corner which ironically makes it less exciting and more tiredsome. For what it’s worth, it wasn’t worth 60$ for what it showcased.
