Yeah, the movie is cliché. Yeah, the plot is 100% predictable. That said, this Christopher fella (who I had never heard of) is amazingly talented on a number of levels. Of course, his voice is extraordinary. And according to what I've read, he wrote all the songs in it. On top of that, clearly he can act. He totally sold me and my wife on the troubled, vulnerable, self-doubting character he played. How is it he isn't already a huge star in the states is quite surprising. Hollywood should light a fire under this young man. He's got the whole package for sure.
