I don’t understand how this was so well received. The 94 film was far superior. This was rushed and jumped around a lot, very poor character development. Florence Pugh looks like a 30 year old woman trying to play a 12 year old girl, and it really affects the credibility of her performance. I love the story and am just very disappointed in this film, and I really wanted to like it. The sets and costume designs are beautiful, however, that’s about all I liked about it.

Unrealistic characters and story line. I rolled my eyes routinely. There were some cute/funny parts, which is why I have 2 stars.
