Well told straight forward story/myth style. Well directed and edited to zero into the story of boy hero. Other films I’ve seen of this genre end up a mess and out of focus. Camera, script, set design, acting all hold one’s interest at any age. Including old dogs like myself.

Classic Clint Eastwood. Story weaved family loyalty, love of wife and daughter, folksy Americana all with the baddest Mexicans. Contrast was good. Well written script with great acting. Clint Eastwood was great as old man with loving daughter. The tension among all opposite values was greatly done. Heavy movie. I always like Andy Garcia.
