This movie had NO RIGHT being this good!! First off I’ll just say that I’m 25 and the antagonist Wolf was creepy and I was terrified the whole movie….so maybe if you have younger kids don’t watch it if they usually scare. I also was mildly annoyed with a couple of swear words but again, I am sensitive to that so if you’re also sensitive to that then think about it before seeing the movie.
Having said that, Wolf was one of the best characters I’ve seen, in any medium, in a very long time. He was a masterclass antagonist with a sick character design and he fulfilled his purpose. He symbolizes a common “enemy” for all of us. Something everyone fears. He’s SUPPOSED to be scary. And they nailed it! He taught a majorly important lesson that the primary audience (20-30s) could relate to and learn from. I’ve been utterly obsessed with him and have watched all the YouTube videos about this movie and about him. 10/10 character
Second off I thought this movie had great characters and themes. Every character has some sort of arch, realizes some sort of lesson, and changes in some way. I could see how younger kids could have a harder time keeping up with 3 subplots involving other characters, but they’re all connected and correlate so it isn’t THAT complicated.
The designs and voice acting was wildly entertaining and overall the movie just didn’t have a right to be so darn good! 10/10!
