After hearing about, and then reading, USSF's 17 tweets rebutting Jeffrey Kessler's claims in the LFG documentary, I watched LFG. It was completely lacking in substance. Other than Kessler's monologue early in the documentary, the documentary never presented any hard facts why the USWNT believe that they were discriminated against on the basis of sex.
I read the SJ opinion when it was issued and it was damning. It clearly showed the Equal Pay claim had very little merit. I thought the documentary would at least show the USWNT's side of the story, but it didn't at all. Instead, it was just a congratulating look at the USWNT's World Cup success and a perfunctory look at the lawsuit.
I'm very disappointed in how so few are willing to take an objective view of the issue. If they would, they would see that the USWNT negotiated and accepted an alternative pay structure to the MNT's pay-to-play model.
I'll hand it to the USWNT, they have won the court of public opinion.
