We are big Sebastian fans. His stand up shows are amazing. This movie was very disappointing. First of all, a quick overview would describe it as a very weak version of “Meet the Parents”, complete with Robert De Niro as the father. There was no real plot other than for Sebastian to get the approval of his fiancé’s parents to allow him to marry her. Not exactly uncharted territory. Next, far too much narration which after a while started to feel like a homework assignment. Too much information to be entertaining. And finally, nothing was really very funny. None of Sebastian’s antics, voices, or trademark scenarios. Everything that makes him a great comedian failed to exist in this movie. We are are still fans, but it will be interesting to see where he goes from here!
