I convinced my husband that "Inside Man" would be a good series to watch, that "everyone could be a murderer, given a bad day & the right circumstances" was a great tagline. However, after watching a few episodes about a vicar, played expertly by David Tennant, that compromises himself in a very implausable fashion, it's clear that the message really is that not everyone could be a murderer. Rather, only the ones that make very bad choices, but then we all knew that already. I was close to just turning it off, but then I couldn't review it fully if I didn't see it through to the bitter end.
Stanley Tucci's character does at least command our atention, something that Tucci does so well, but one can't help but feel that the character was inspired by Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lector, a character that no one will ever forget.
Whilst the script is respectable, It's hard to imagine how stalwarts like Tucci and Tenant would have said yes to the premise presented here, although both they and the rest of the cast do their utmost to add some respectability to the production.
