Sorry people. I know this book received many great reviews. But I found it boring and unrealistic. I understand the girl had a very bad young life. She had so many negative feelings, instead of counting her blessings she chose to focus on the past. Also Samson sure got lucky receiving a free home. I know it is just a story but even so, a little more authenticity would have gone a long way.
