After a few years and at the more recent recommendations, My husband and I finally watched The Chosen series. I can't say enough about how this series has brought the Gospel more alive to me in a different way. I want to dig into Scripture more than I have in a long time. The humanity of Jesus is so well done. I love how they have shown not only His compassion for humanity, but also His sense of humour! Yes, they’ve taken creative license to expand story lines (like Peter having a wife, which if Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law, Peter must have had a wife!!), but it is so thoughtful and respectful. We have recently lost our daughter this year to cancer and this series has truly helped us in our grief journey. We highly recommend it.
