Absolute travesty. I knew Netflix would ruin it but not to the extent they did. Stop making live actions if you won’t stay true to the show. It’s embarrassing. Anyone saying the show was good is lying. I can’t believe I wasted 8 hours of my life trying to give this garbage a chance. I would have preferred M Night Shamalans garbage movie, it would have wasted less of my life. Don’t waste your time. It’s impressive that Netflix can ruin a show they stream. It’s pathetic that they made the changes they did. The overall run time for this Netflix show is 7 hours 12 minutes, the original ATLA, with all episodes of book one, is 7 hours 40 minutes. They could have followed the original darn near to a tee, minus one less important episode, but chose not to. The characters do not match their ideologies and personalities, the story is sped up and they use references from later happenings like June coming in early for book one and the great owl, and the cave of two lovers that is not relevant until book two. Also, Sokka and Katara get sucked into the spirit world and kidnapped by koh? Really? Some people should be worried about getting fired over this. Don’t watch this show if you appreciate the original. Also book one is when Aang learns waterbending, guess what he never learns in this shitshow.
