It's been a long time since I posted a review, but this was a special case that warranted writing one. The show was intriguing at first, and Jennifer Connelly's acting was outstanding. She was as beautiful as ever. The endings of episodes 1 and 2 left me wanting more. By the end of episode 2, I was so invested in it that I genuinely felt the impact of a character's death.
However, at the start of episode 3, things started to fall apart. If my loved ones died in any parallel dimension or at any time, especially if murdered in cold blood, I would be engulfed in rage and sadness. Yet, this guy shows no sadness whatsoever. He just keeps doing whatever he had been doing, and they just skip over what happened. I mean, even his girlfriend shows more rage over the character's death, but this guy? Nope. He just wants to get this over with so he can get back home. That mindset broke my immersion.
