Was really looking forward to this film as a treat for such a crumby year. In true 2020 fashion we received a horrible plot, lifeless cast and a chubby, angsty, rebellious teenager as a "villain". I was originally very excited that there would be more Goldie in this movie than the first, as she only appeared at the end of the last movie, but her acting was just not up to what I normally expect from her, almost as if she was just going through the motions. Kurt was as great as always but his great performance just highlighted how horrible everyone else's were. It was almost as if all the lines were put on cue cards except for his. It really doesn't make sense since most of these characters did such a stellar performance last time, so i honestly feel like the writing and directing dropped the ball this go round.
The story was just all over the place and extremely predictable, but predictability is just a part of most Christmas movies (looking at you hallmark channel).
Your kids might enjoy it because of all the cute minion rip-off elves all over the place, but as an adult I think watching paint dry on a wall would be more entertaining.
