I have not read the book but as a stand alone movie aside from the book, I have to say this was one of the worst movies I have seen in a very long time. The story portrayed men in a very bad way when all he did was help or calm down. She would push on him and make the situation worse. For example if something is burning in the oven one person opens the windows the other sorts out the oven (common sense). I feel that I will read the book as the movie may have left out some important facts. I would not recommend this film at all.
