Loved the Chaos Walking books. Saw there was a movie so I decided to watch it. Half a minute in and I almost threw up at how bad this movie is. It is an embarrassment to what is an incredible book series. The plot, although loosely based, deviates from the story-line to a level that it is absolutely cringeworthy to watch if you have read the books. It feels like all three books have been thrown into an AI-Generated blender and this is the result. Not only that, the dialogue is cheap and unauthentic - very bad acting on top of that. Do not watch! Read the books instead. I feel very deeply for Patrick Ness, the author of the Chaos Walking series. This must be such a tarnish on his record.
