So so so bad. How is a hunter (human) stronger than a vampire? It feels like a teen show but there's too much touching and kissing to be comfortable watching it with my teen daughter. They really overplay the racial stereotypes too. Storylines make no sense. Why are the hunters in that town? How does everyone know about monsters but it's not mentioned until halfway through, and then no mention of how they got rid of them last time.

I got the "twist" on the first episode. The court scenes are embarrassingly bad. You may as well have plucked Mary from Downton Abbey and put her in a court room. She's sooo wooden, which sort of worked in Downton, but is cold and uncomfortable in this series. Sienna Miller, who I don't usually rate as an actress, is amazing.
