I have seen all the current episodes so far, it is not my favorite new show. I find it hard to understand & some of the story/plot goes on too long. I detest the character of Mike Franks- all he does is yell & demean the people he is supposed to be training/working with. I like NCIS, but not Origins.

I am enjoying this series so much. The 2 lead characters come across as real people slowly getting to trust each other. Some of the other comments think there should be more action, a more faster action in the story lines. This is a Canadian series, so there is no over done blood, violence or sex- it leans more to what you see from UK tv series-which takes the time to develop characters. It also moves at a slower pace than US tv series where the bad guy is caught/killed within the 42 allotted minutes. Hopefully this series will run for more than 1 season.

I was happy to find this series is finally available for streaming..but..so far I have watched season 1- it only has 9 episodes. Season 2 only has 4 episodes- so we are NOT getting the full amount of episodes. I would be happier is all the episodes were there because the series is still good.

Just watched episode 1 of season 2 & it was really good. I have not watched season 1 yet. I have a subscription for PBS shows thru Amazon. But I do have a request...in Season 2 you CANNOT use closed captioning for some reason. (don't know about season 1 yet, but I will check). This is essential for viewers in the US because in the UK people have different accents & it can be very difficult to pick up exactly what they are saying. This leads to me missing some important clues to the episode. Closed captioning should be available on EVERY program- not just for people that are deaf.

this is in answer to the review by Edwin Rajan--he talks about the mysticism, ancient witchcraft, wizards & a supernatural genre in his review from 2 months ago. I don't think he actually watched this film because it doesn't have any of those things in the film. This film is about Afghanistan & the war the US fought there- no wizards or mysticism appeared. So I have to question if Edwin Rajan actually watched this film or if he is just a paid reviewer. I liked this film- I found it to be accurate & true about the entire war before the US pulled out & abandoned their promises to the Afghani people that aided/helped the US troops. I was also happy to see Dar Salim in this film. He is a very good actor. I have seen 2 other films he has done plus the Danish series Dicte- which I had to read since it is in Danish. I hope directors realize what a good actor he actually is & they continue to hire him for other parts.
