The book is short, poorly edited and uses an unsophisticated writing style. The crimes committed are not talked about (understandably, due to privacy issues) but there’s also no thorough insight into Fritzl. I didn’t learn anything new. I also couldn’t help but feel anger at the casual way this man writes about his immoral life - the excitement of the affairs he commits while he neglects his wife, family, and basement family. Also, he started to molest his daughter at 11 which just adds to his evil. I get that the book is supposed to be about Josef Fritzl’s viewpoint but I couldn’t help how I felt while reading his slimy diary excerpts. Nevertheless, I rate this book lowly simply as its poorly written. Not worth the money.
