Best Disney run star wars show.

Don't get me wrong, I like that they're trying something new with new characters and a new timeframe. But... they could have done MUCH better. Let's start off with pacing, slow, boring, unengaging. The story is predictable, they say things that are dead give-aways to what's actually happening when they should be much more subtle, they didn't have to specifically say she had a TWIN sister and go so hard on trying to make an excuse as to why it couldn't be her before deciding that it has to be her. And the scene where I truely gave up on the show was the one where she's walking through the streets and alleys to end up at the scene of the murder... or suicide? And I saw it coming from a mile away, I didn't get much further than her arriving, I may go back and finish that scene to confirm but I assume the one guy jumped on it and tried to accuse and blame her for it. The dialogue is more stale and clunky than the prequels, and that is saying a lot because the prequels have a cult following. The special effects are nothing new or fancy really, don't get me wrong, they're not bad special effects. It's just that some positive reviews seem to be trying to defend the series by saying that the effects are so great, make it almost sound revolutionary. Not really, it's a show run by disney the special effects are going to be good in most things, and if they aren't particularly good, it is because those special effects are new and they're experimenting with new techniques that need more fine tuning.

I like it all and found it pretty enjoyable aside from some of the dialogue, the dialogue in some spots could certainly use some work as it makes them sound like they're using computer generated dialogue as a script. Otherwise i give it a 4/5.

Amazing movie, impressive CGI, great world building and all round great story.

It was tollerable to watch, but it far from comes close to being as good as the original animated movie, I was really hoping to get a recreation of a Musical... yet I only heard one song be sung, and the background of another... I was highly disappointed that there were no songs like "Make a man out of you" and "a girl worth fighting for". And also some aspects of the movie that were highly unrealistic would have been more at home in a cartoon than a live action film such as all the defying of gravity running up and along walls... I also for one thing that they in their attempt for a slightly more accurate to legend story, totally butchered the story that the original had. And removed almost if not all of the fun comedic scenes that the original offered. *cough cough* may I also point out that some of the glowing 5 star reviews are A. Clearly copied and pasted and B. Likely payed or given a discount to have people give shining reviews

This 5 stars is only for season 1, season 2 was a bit of a let down for me... I wish they hadn't gone so science-based religious villains. While I don't mind the idea of the good guys aren't exactly perfect... but I think it could have been made into less of a case of they're the bad guys in their own way and more of a morally challenged organization. They could have done less of a post apocalyptic theme and leaned more into the military and global war themes.
