Lies of P is one of the best games this year.
If you are a souls-borne fan, this will satisfy you.
I see a lot of casuals that are saying in the reviews that the game is too hard (not that it is easy, just expect something like Sekiro maybe even easier) and that is not polished. This is the furthest from the truth.
The weapon mechanics are insanely good. Additionally, you can create your own weapons by using different blades and handles that you collect throughout your journey.
You have no actual shield, just guard and parry. This is replaced by having a Legion super arm, which can be a variety of abilities from a flamethrower, to a gun, grappling rope, mines, etc. This is very OP but aren't sorceries and pyromancies.
The environment and atmosphere are top notch. You do get a few elements related to Pinocchio with a gritty Bloodborne-esk/steampunk look.
The character/boss design are amazing. I played this game on PC with a i9-13900KS/RTX 4090 everything maxed native. This game is a stunner. The cutscenes are also very well put together alongside some epic tunes. No shader cache/stuttering problems.
The only downside is that the game might be a little short. As I completed it around 12 hours (I play this genre a lot). Obviously this number depends a lot on your skill. As some will be slower, some faster.
All in all if you play games on PC you most likely have gamepass. So there is no reason you should pass on this masterpiece when it's free.
