I have mixed feeling about RP2, l loved RP1, it is without a doubt my favorite book. I did enjoy some aspects of RP2, for example the basic story as well as the 80’s/pop culture references were excellent, but I was disappointed by the direction that was taken with the characters, especially Wade. Like many of the other reviews, I was also very disappointed by the more sexual nature of the book, it was unnessary and in my view and was in contrast to the “sweetness” of RP1... the sexual plot points seemed to be shoehorned in to appease certain groups and be in vogue. I will continue to reread RP1, but am not sure I will pick up RP2 again.
