Finally a fresh concept!! I love the whole storyline. The acting of both the main and supporting cast was amazing. I was surprised with Han So Hee's character as I had low expectations after seeing World of Married and Nevertheless but OH GOD SHE DELIVERED. More badass roles for her please! The direction and cinematography were amazing, as expected from a Netflix drama. The writing seemed a bit slow in the starting episodes but it picked up pace later which is good. Some scenes were so impactful, I had goosebumps. Even the OSTs were so good. But then some bits seemed to have been made very convenient to suit the plot like Tae Sang single-handedly pulling off a whole coupe without getting caught even though he had no experience or wasn't even a part of the patriotic society. There were a lot of open threads in the story at the end but knowing Netflix, they would most likely come back with a season 2. Overall, definitely worth a watch. PS: I think the post-credits scene in the last episode is Akiko's child.

Oh my god, what a journey this movie was!! My biggest regret is watching it after so many years of its release. From the acting to the storyline and of course the soundtracks, it was all so beautiful. Tripti and Avinash absolutely nailed the roles. They felt so real and relatable. The pain of losing the one you love because of societal pressure, the long wait that seems never-ending, the desperation, and eventually losing all sense of what's real and what's not. It's a painfully beautiful love story, a modern tale of Laila Majnu. You can totally vouch for Imitiaz Ali when it comes to storytelling. 100/10 recommended.

I genuinely liked the drama but the last few episodes ruined it for me. To start with, the characters were great. Loved Jung Suk as Changho and Kwak Dong Yeon as Jerry. I am glad they had a strong female lead like Ko Miho who doesn't just sit around and cry. Gong Jihoon was supposed to be badass but turned out to be a caricature! A few plot twists were good but most of them were predictable (imo). My major problem is so many questions were left unanswered. What were they actually doing in the secret lab? What work were the model inmates doing underground? What actually happened to Noh Park's daughter? Who was the son of the chairman? Who was number 1 in Big Mouse's Big Three gang? How tf did Big Mouse die soo easily? Why would Jihoon and his wife rescue Juhee in the end when they wanted the property? They just rushed everything in the end and had a slow-motion shot of the Big Mouse gang walking out with media voices in the bg. It was such a bad way to end the drama. Spoiler Alert: Choi Doha's death was super unsatisfying. They could've done so much to get a proper revenge! Bottom line: It could've been better, a more smartly planned-out thriller.

The MVP of this drama is its direction. The way they closed the loop and connected all the dots throughout the drama, it's brilliant. It gives you an "aha!" moment when you realize how the beginning is connected to the end. For the characters, I loved the portrayal of Cha Soo Hyun and Lee Jae Han. Their conviction as detectives makes you want to root for them. As for Park Hae Yeong, he was good, but a few things just didn't work. 1. He fu*king whispers EVERY SINGLE THING. Even when he is normally speaking. 2. As a profiler, he felt emotionally unstable. Even if his childhood trauma is considered, that's not the persona of a criminal profiler. It would've been better to make it a coldhearted and no-nonsense character rather than someone who just picks up a fight with everyone. 3. Some of his conversations with Soo Hyun were so weird. I had my fingers crossed hoping that there wouldn't be any romantic angle, considering he was a kid when she was in the police force. Other than that the storyline is pretty good. I had mixed feelings about the ending i.e. I loved the open ending of how there's a possibility that now someone in the farther future is contacting them through the radio but also I would've liked to see a proper downfall of that Congressman. It's a good watch though, do recommend it.

Suspicious partner is the perfect example of a romcom kdrama that had potential but was ruined by dragging it unnecessarily. The good part: - every character had their own unique presence and no one felt neglected. - Ha dong was great as Jung Hyun Soo, not the typical evil villain but someone who was desperate for revenge. Problems: - there are 40 EPs with most of them having no punch in it. Probably 15 mins of it is just flashbacks, pauses, and long face shots with bg music. I can confidently say that this could've been reduced to 15-16 episodes. - loopholes and unfinished arcs: they skipped over soo many important parts. They built up Hyun Soo's plot and didn't even show his back story when he was in college. Randomly introduced a shaman. Didn't even show a reconciling scene of Ji wook, Eun hyuk, and Yoo jung. Said Bong hee's father died the same night as Ji-Wook's parents but in one scene he was shown talking to the main lawyer that he is wrongfully accused. Like what was even happening. Did they just improv the whole script? - more romantic, less thrilling - they could've focused more on a criminal's mindset, the different perspectives of a case, and made this more interesting like Attorney Woo but instead they didn't go anywhere except romance, which was disappointing. Bottom line - a very basic drama with a few good moments here and there. But overall a 4/10 for me.

To start with the good parts: 1. The Acting - The characters were good enough to make you empathise with them, even the supporting actors like Prince Juhyang and the Baekgyu institute people were great. 2. The Finale - The last 2 episodes picked up pace and actually had a lot of interesting fight sequences and wholesome interactions. It ends with a cliffhanger so there might be a Season 2. Now for the parts I didn't like: 1. Too Many Loopholes - Why was Mae Hyang a part of all this? Someone like MiSu who stayed with Juhyang for so many years, had a sudden change of heart?. What happened to the first crown prince? If Ma Wang could just take his eyes back through eye contact with Cheon Gi, why didn't he do it sooner? Many more questions were left unanswered. 2. Weak Plot - The writing felt lazy and repetitive. What could've been a thrilling drama was reduced to a typical romcom. There were quite a few interesting plot points that they could've used like Juhyang being infested with the demon (here Ma Wang could still be living inside him and is not completely sealed) or doing something with the backstory of Ma Wang and Samshin or even showing HaRam tame his gifted water abilities. 3. Random Characters - HaRam's Grandfather? The 3 painters in the Art competition? Mae Hyang? I thought they would have a greater purpose than just appearing for a few scenes. All in all, it was an okay-ish drama, probably a one time watch. Not something great that you would remember or go back to for years. Note: If you don't like extremely slow Kdramas, you might want to skip most Historical Kdramas.

I watched this after I saw the rating and the good reviews. I might have an unpopular opinion on the drama. In a nutshell, it's the journey of Sa Hye Jun, an aspiring model from a modest background, making it big in the industry. While this could have been a great drama in the 'slice of life' genre, it lacked the excitement. The plot revolved around the same points over and over, making it redundant. Hyejun was portrayed as this overly moral man who wasn't fazed by anything, always choosing the right thing, making him quite unrelatable. He was a flat character with no development whatsoever in his personality, it rather got me frustrated at many points to an extent where I wanted to stop watching the drama. Jeongha (female lead) was practical and slightly more relatable. I liked how she was strong headed, knew what she wanted and also stood up when she knew the relationship was dragging them both. Now, what I actually liked about the drama were the side characters. Everyone who played Hyejun's family, especially Lee Jae Won and Ha Hee-Ra did a fantastic job! I LOVED the sweet & sour relationship between Hyejun and Haehyo's moms. Lee Chang Hoon (Lee Tae Su) did justice to the greedy and sly businessman. Although even that plot point was very abruptly dropped in the end. I loved the friendship between Hyejun, Haehyo and Jin-u and wish we could've seen more of it. While it saw a little ups and downs with the changing dynamics, they were going strong together. Final Verdict: A basic storyline with basic acting. Do not expect something out of the box. Had the potential to be better but missed the mark. They tried to create excitement with multiple celeb cameos too but it's still a lack lustre drama in my opinion.

I am someone who is not at all a fan of RomComs, mostly because they are super unrealistic but this Kdrama has my heart. It is in every way, so raw! The passion, the clashes, having the silliest worries as we enjoy our youth and then transforming into an adult - the writer has captured so many emotions without over exaggerating the scenes or adding unnecessary high-school drama. I have heard many say that 2521 has a sad ending, but no! The ending is as close to reality as it could be. The love to hold on and the strength to let go has been shown in the most amazing way. I think that's one aspect that sets this Kdrama apart from other RomComs - it is REAL. You will see real dreams, real friendships, real problems and real relationships.
