Everything's Beautiful' remains a cup of joy. Like drinking a warm hug and smile. Enjoyed 'Dimitri' and 'How To Meet Yourself' is sublimely beautiful. 'Love Heart Cheat Code' is also great.
However what everyone seems scared to admit is HK's previous albums are all far superior to this one, I can't lie I was underwhelmed in parts.
That's not to say that LHCC isn't okay, but they probably released too many singles off of it so the album didn't feel particularly fresh or new. Unlike the other three, I wasn't in any rush to listen to this on repeat. I wasn't moved in the same way as I was with the others.
The songs and arrangement on the previous albums are far better, I found this a bit slow at the beginning.
Aside from the aforementioned, none of the tracks instantly grabbed and shook me. Not even a Jefferson Airplane cover could convince me otherwise.
I've been in deep with HK for like a decade plus though, so I'm confident that they're still sublime, this just wasn't for me.
