I completely HATED this movie.
I started watching because it was named Annapoorni and it was about a women stepping into the world with her extraordinary sense of taste and passion towards cooking but suddenly her father (being a Brahmin) talked about culture and they showed that Hindu culture came in between her dreams so a Muslim guy came to enlighten her and open doors for her. She being daughter of someone who is a priest at Srirangam which hold such important significant in Bhakti movement in India. Not to forget, Bhakti movement started at Srirangam if I’m not wrong.
You shown that guy who makes food for a devta not capable to inspire her or make her food magical for the climax. Instead she had to wear burkha and pray for Namaz in order to get the grace. DUDE! She was born with grace. It was her love for the food, love for the art and she was excellent talent which made her reach where she was. But thanks to let us know that only Namaz ka make great biryani. Sure!
Maybe that’s why rice grow soo much in Mongolian and UAE countries, because biryani was their dish.
This movie has let down not just on our hopes but the fact that we thought Tamil industry to going somewhere. Now suddenly I feel so much respect for Brahmastra because at least they didn’t let down on us by playing with our emotions through putting our deities name on the movie for audience and then show their soft conversion/ political ideologies.
It’s a shame!
