Glad I started with later books in this series cause if I’d started with this one I probably would never had gotten to any other.
The story in Congo is waaaaay too long, I went on flipping through pages as off page 50 onward.
The bouncing between Congo/Harvath and other parts of the world/other characters is confusing at best, boring at worst.
I’m at one third now, and I’ll finish it up reluctantly, kind of like one does a bad meal because he’s invited and doesn’t want to disappoint the host.
Maybe I’ll find relief later.
Anyway, kudos for Brad Thor for his change of pace in writing starting in 2018! Way to go man, Semper Fi!
