Read the attempts at understanding this film and the acting in the reviews above. While I am sure this movie touch some of them because of how many people have been faced with addiction I think they all missed the mark.
Did they read the book?
Have they lived any of what was a brilliant attempt to not be another same old drug movie?
Personally I thought the acting was phenomenal especially Timothy Charlemagne.
Read the book, forget all that you read from the above options of the “experts” and go see the film.
For those of us that have lived close to this terrible plaque, that continues to claim its victims in society, you will be moved!
I was completely mesmerized at how well the film didn’t dig to deep and the actors were able to keep it on the fringe. It speaks to the same truths that the book does and is a starched reminder of two great lessons.
You will never understand others who you love the most and need your help, all you can do is love them. The films also screams to the audience (we all know the horrors) what drugs do to families but don’t forget at the end of the day how “beautiful” we all our while connecting us to our world through the perfect backdrop of where the events actually took place!!!!
