I have to admit that I was expecting to be disappointed. I am definitely a fan of the original Roswell series but when I saw the pilot, I was intrigued by the way they combined reality and fantasy in to the show, It also shows(so far) just a bit of what latinos are going through today because of the current political atmosphere, all the while keeping that original Sci-fi mystery and excitement that I love so much from the original series. Roswell, New Mexico is telling an exciting, mysterious love story and at the same time it shines a light on issues that some people would rather ignore and pretend don't exist so that it won't offend their conscience. I definitely can't wait to see how they build the characters and the storyline! There's only one thing I didn't like.... I hate the fact that they made Michael gay! And with Alex! What about Michael's iconic relationship with Maria!! They're relationship was also one of the major cornerstones of the show! Who knows, maybe (hopefully) it's still heading that way.
