Sam Noble

I'm a massive Vin Diesel and FF fan, but this film was terrible. Vin Diesel shines as the lead actor but struggles with a poor supporting cast. The stunts and action set pieces have become so ridiculous that they lose all suspense and tension. Unlike previous films you never feel like anybody is in danger, especially with previous "dead" people showing up. The FF franchise needs to return to the earlier days where actions had consequences, people died and the plot made sense. F9s plot is thin at the best, the backstory of Dom and Jakob being well written but awkwardly sandwhiched between a rehashed plot similar to F7s "gods eye" plot of a device that can seize control of the worlds technology. F9 is the worst film by a large margin of all the FF films, I hate to say it but even the wildly different Tokyo Drift had a unique charm to it that F9 lacks due to poor pacing and a divided two story plot line. I hope F10 and F11 complete the story and focus on the roots of the franchise, car racing with action elements.
