People comparing this to Buffy and Charmed are on drugs. This is Lost Girl with the serial numbers filed off. But it lacks LGs sense of whimsy. 7/10

So many of the shows changes really just make little sense. Like in the first scene where we see moraine we get a close up of her ring and it's this gaudy ridiculous piece of costume jewelry, the exact opposite of what its supposed to be. That was a choice they made intentionally. They heard simple band with snake motiff that if someone is perceptive they might recognize, and decided the best way to express that was giant cheap plastic colored rock. That choice makes little difference in the narrative but it was a clear message that the show was not going to show any respect to the source material, because not doing that would have literally cost them nothing and remained truer to the source material. Following that they twisted a b unch of characters motivation and just kinda removed a lot of the heart of the series
