After watching the 3 seasons of the show and the fans having to crowd fun this film it was incredibly underwhelming and disappointing. The exaggerated buzz of Phryne is only shown through her body language and never through her actions and dialog, she feels timid and as if her personality only revolved around she likes mischief. Her disregard for Jack's feelings and person heavily contadics how she acted in the show when Jack thought she was dead for mere minutes and completely cuts off the ending of the 3rd season. The cinematography doesn't feel grounded as in the show it feels loose and basic modern along with cuts that feel chopy, as if the editing of the film only took a couple hours. Don't even talk about the title card which looks like it was done in the early 2000's. The whole music feels ditched from the film and incredibly over used while being slow and dragging. I thought this film was thought to be as good as the show and within the first 10 mins realised that wasn't the case.
