Visually stunning and acting spot on with just the right amount of horror from Raimi (pleased this wasn’t overdone). As a die-hard and loyal Marvel fan, the plot left a lot to be desired. By far, it is not the worst film ever made but this was no masterpiece in terms of plot. If I could give a 3.5 I would. Olsen is AMAZING. This felt a bit more like a Marvel/Disney+ original, meant for release online as a sort of MCU-cannon-movie sequel to concepts introduced in “What if…”. Loyal to these concepts and fan service to the bitter end. As always the devil is in the detail here however even that was not enough to save the rather flimsy and “for the sake of it” storyline. MCU writers have done and can do better.
