Too many negative reviews, which is quite sad. Maybe the fact I am playing via Game Pass and didn't shell out £70 is partly why I like it but mostly I'd say it's because I think it plays AND looks great.
I'm only at the very start of career mode which is how I play my racing sims (not interested in playing multiplayer and getting beat by 10 yr olds) and have found the racing to be very enjoyable.
The ability to tailor your assists is good (AI can be altered from ridiculously easily all the way to frustratingly difficult. You will find your 'level' in no time. Car tinkering can also be assisted by a 'quick upgrade' or you can get right into manual upgrade too.
This is the first sim I have played since Forza Motorsport 4 on the XBox 360 and I think it's a solid step up from that. Perhaps others have been expecting too much or are just really hard to please!
