Started well in episode 1 then quickly went downhill. Stopped watching midway through episode 3. Padding it out with family issues which brought nothing to the story and having a highly implausible MI5 agent who the programme is written around (not the jackal) ruins it. Awful story and poor acting - even from redmayne - made this unwatchable for me.

Awful writing and totally unbelievable storyline. Nothing happens, Found it really boring and it being dragged out unnecessarily. I like Idris Elba but don’t know what he’s doing in this. Bizarre how anyone can give this 5 stars.

Shaky camera work gave me a headache. Not much of a story just loads of bullets and chases. Not for me I’m afraid.

I’m guessing it’s because the Oscar’s have become so woke that it won so many awards. Really weak story.
