Started great but seriously ran out of steam at end. Almost like they over-promised satisfactory outcome before the lawyers got hold of possible explanations for the entire crime scheme

Only four stars because as a husband of a teacher and father of a now high school student I find the theme of the film depressing as hell. What the hell are we doing to our kids. My son has experienced active shooter drills since 2nd (!) grade . . . Off soapbox, sorry. Movie itself was amazing. Ironically, I had no idea of the topic beforehand. Thought it was a zombie film because of a publicity shot of Jenna after the pen exploded in her mouth. Loved her performance and the direction. So many well-framed shots. Wish the parents' had been fleshed out a little more, but that is my only quibble. Finally, have tissues handy.
