It's some of Guillermo Del Toro's earlier work. Of course it's a Great movie, great director. He's well known for "Pan's Labyrinth", also set during wartime. The storytelling is masterful. Beautiful imagery, imagination abounds, ominous slow boil. Creepy as hell. As I said great movie. Can't really go wrong with the writer and director of "Pans Labyrinth".
