"It's the grouse" to quote Les. I loved the books despite them containing Barrett's unnecessarily graphic sex scenes and incredulous violence. Barrett has a wonderful writing style and can spin a truly great yarn. This series is reasonably faithful to that style and the, quite frankly, offensive sex and violence has been toned down so that it will appeal to a far wider audience. Two thumbs up from me, bring on series 2.
