Perhaps it's because it was directed by a different director, but going into this film after having watched 28 days later and it being one of my favorite movies ever, this sequel is trash. It tried to cash in on the Zombie movie craze, but I don't feel like it had a good plot or message, unlike it's predecessor. Easily forgettable, easily stoppable. Looking forward to the next sequel because it will be directed by the same person that directed the original. I hope it will have a similar tone as well, because this movie was just terrible.

Breath of Fire IV was the first game that I beat by myself. I've loved the series for a long time, but this one and III are some of my favorite games of all time. I feel that when it comes to story and characters, BoF4 is an improvement on 3 in many ways. The only reason I like 3 a bit more is while both games have mini games, I felt that they were more tedious and reoccurring in IV. Other than that I think that IV allows so much more time for characters feelings and motivations to shine. Getting to swap between the pov of the main protagonist and antagonist adds so much to the narrative, and by the end it's hard know who I want to root for. The duality between Ryu and another character has been a pretty big part of the series since the second game, and I often wish that we could have had something similar in BoF3. The art style is gorgeous, though I miss the bright and vibrant colors of BoF3's palette, BoF4 has a fantastic style that holds up so beautifully, the muted palette is beautiful in it's own right and complements the overall art style so well. I wish they'd have done the boss models in pixels because the 3D models have not aged as well, but the designs are still very nifty despite that. Lack of the Dragon Gene system is a disappointment and feels like a regression after BoF3 but there is no lack of depth with BoF4s combat. I love the magic combo system, and while there isn't as much variety, the dragon transformations are still there! If you love RPGs, I can't recommend this one enough, and thankfully it was ported to PS3 so it's still relatively easy to play. Still would be so nice to get a PC port one day.

One of my favorite classic RPGs. It's really a shame that the last time this saw a port was for the PSP because I think that everyone should have the chance to play this game. Great characters, a vibrant world and a solid story that leaves you satisfied yet also wishing there was more. The battle system is classic turn based, and you can play the whole game without much fuss, but if you want to put the time into it there is a depth to the system, allowing you to find masters around the world and train your characters in many different ways. The dragon gene system has to be one of my favorite mechanics in a game. You collect genes that you can then mix and use with the main character to transform into different dragons. It's super fun. I wish they'd added it into the fourth game, it's one of the reasons I consider this to be my favorite game in the series. If you like RPGs and can find a way to play it, I can't recommend Breath of Fire III enough.

Easily my favorite Vampire related media in the last two decades. I loved the story from start to finish, very bittersweet, but surprisingly hopeful compared to what I'm use to with anime. I could not stop watching though I'd intended to break up watching the episodes. They manage to paint a fascinating picture of the world that this takes place in, in just a few episodes, not a moment is wasted in telling this story. Lots of action, but enough slow moments to balance the pace. I really would have loved more of this, but the story wraps up in a way that is very satisfying. I still hope somehow we'll get to see more stories set in this world. I loved it so much.

Finally got around to playing, it's my BFs favorite game and he has been asking me to play for a long time. It's been a fantastic ride, and I'm amazing by the atmosphere. If you're easily stressed or frightened this isn't the game for you, but if you like dark atmospheric horror, immersive worlds, exploration and extensive battle systems this is a fantastic game to pass the time. These games get a rap for being super hard, but I think that the structure of the game is very rewarding. You can level up and become stronger to make things much easier, or if you're feeling spicy and you have the skill you can learn enemy attack patterns and take things out that far outlevel you. I have gotten lost of hours exploring the maps over and over again, the level of artistry that went into ever aspect of this game is amazing. If you like your hand being held every step of the way, and the story being spoon fed to you, it will not be easy to follow along with this, but I think that it's great because if you don't care for a story, this game is easy to enjoy without understanding it. Fantastic game, I recommend everyone give it a try, it's a really cool experience.
