All praise and thanks are for Allah, in all circumstances!
This movie is about the Nakba (google the keyword for yourself), where Zionists invaded and massacred, with help from British powers, Palestinians and destroyed their homeland villages that their families have been living in for generations. These destroyed homelands were taken over to create modern day Israel. It is a bloody and horrific history (and it still plays out today against Palestinians).
The movie really shows the horror and emotions of normal everyday Palestinian girl growing up in a village with hopes and aspirations of going to school and wanting to become a teacher one day, and suddenly have her life turned upside down due to Zionists invasion. The villagers in Farha's hometown end up being killed, men, women and children (even newborn infants). The crazy part is this is a pretty accurate representation of what happened to Palestinians in the Nakba.
This is the horror that Israel celebrates every year, and at the same time, they want to hide this reality from ever being shown to others. It's seriously messed up.
I'm really surprised that Farha was allowed to be premiered and shown to the world due to the unrelenting Islamophobic views of the west. I hope that everybody watches this to understand the Palestinians perspective. What an amazing and riveting film.
