This was by far the most artistic, creative, and unique series I’ve ever seen, but not in a way that it’s boring or annoying. The plot makes sense without having to think too hard, but has enough depth to make it beautiful and interesting. Plus, it’s hilarious, and every character brings something wonderful to the story. I absolutely adored this series, and I think it’s especially relatable to any woman who dreams big and who overcomes obstacles to get where they envision.

Season 1 of Pachinko mostly takes place in a small Japanese fishing village, which just makes this so beautiful and magical to watch. The scenery is beautiful and the backstory of the grandmother living under Japanese rule is compelling. I loved the parallel stories of the past and present. Every character is interesting and the acting is great. I can’t wait for season 2. Appletv is definitely worth the subscription for this show, but as well as Ted Lasso, WeCrash, Trying, and Severence

I have never written a review for a series but I like this one so much that I have to! Even though some complain it’s slow, it was only like that in episode one in my opinion. As the story unfolds, it slowly gets more and more intriguing, and the slow build up and anticipation leads me to feel excited and thrilled. The mystery behind it definitely keeps me watching and it only gets better with each minute you watch. I think casting a familiar actor like Adam Scott helped me want to watch it (and I think he’s fantastic in this), but the other cast of characters are wonderful too. Somehow it gets even creepier when Christopher Walken shows up. I think this show is fairly unique and maybe somewhat relatable to anyone who feels any certain way toward working in a corporate setting. I definitely find myself looking forward to watching the new episode that gets released weekly! I love that I have to wait to watch the new episode, it only builds up the excitement even more.
