GMB is a fine breakfast magazine and hard news show. That being said it must be careful to fully research its content.
This morning, I witnessed an interview with "Mr. Liverpool"
himself, Ricky Tomlinson, extolling the virtues of his latest theatrical romp "Irish Annie" as though he were a fully paid-up stalwart of cuddly Celticism.
Lest we forget, according to his autobiography, Tomlinson's political and views have travelled from the bosom of the Irish diaspora-loathing Loyal Orange Order, via the National Front, vigilante blackshirt Trade Unionism to the status of National treasure on the back of an equally deluded series of auteurs and TV producers
Please could you advise Ed Balls of this in future. He may prefer to interview anyone else alive rather than, as he was once known, "Hobo Rick" who does not represent Liverpool, particularly its community of Irish descent which is justly proud of its roots and contribution to Liverpool's cultural history despite the hatefilled utterance of people like Mr. T in previous guises. "All the world's a stage" someone said. You better believe it.
